Hello! I am the Paraprofessional at PCA. I support the students and staff in our wonderful school community. I am currently supporting in Environmental Science, World History, Geometry, Algebra 1, World Literature and in the Resource classrooms. During sixth hour and service learning days, I run the Credit Recovery class to help students meet their graduation goal at Poudre Community Academy.
I graduated Fort Collins High School in 1998. After high school I attended Front Range Community College and then transfered to Colorado State University where I received my Bachelor of Science, teacher licensure in Geology Education. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts, Mathematics Education at Western Governer's University.
I enjoy spending time with my eleven-year-old daughter, riding bikes, doing a variety of crafts, cooking and eating, and being outdoors playing soccer, hiking and more.
My first job was teaching math and science to seventh and eighth graders at the charter school T.R. Paul Academy & Knowledge. My time at T.R. Paul reinforced my passion for educating and supporting students. I really learned that I want to be an educator that shows students how important their success is to me and to their future. My time there also taught me to not only teach content, yet to teach students the skills needed to be a part of a cooperative, productive and supportive community.
